The Challenge

Bensons for Beds was ordering from various suppliers, which was time consuming and costly. With many different items being ordered from numerous suppliers, it was not only difficult for them to manage service levels, but they also had very little visibility and control over their business spend.

The Solution

RetailTeam offered Bensons for Beds a single source solution for all business services and products through its Tail Management service, incorporating everything from general office supplies through to uniforms and janitorial. This entailed reducing Bensons’ multiple suppliers down to just one supplier.

We actively work with stakeholders and procurement staff to keep costs low and provide continuous specialist services and advice. Regular Account Reviews are conducted providing clarity on expenses at any given time. This highlights regular spending patterns and visibility of expenditure across the business.

Who is Bensons for Beds

Bensons for Beds is a specialist bed retailer with over 50 years’ experience in the industry. The first centre opened in 1972 evolving from what was originally a general store in 1950, set up by Cyril Benson. The three mergers, Bensons for Beds, Sleepmasters and Bed Shed merged into one in 2011 and there are now 270 stores throughout the UK.
